Our Approach to Training
At Tetsudōkan Jūjitsu, we believe in the power of discipline and respect. Jūjitsu training and the concept of Nihon Budō (Japanese Martial Way) are utilized to emphasize personal growth. We offer Self-Defense training that is Realistic, Concise, and Practical. Our training and instruction are geared toward everyday people, not professional athletes or weekend sport or MMA competitors. There is a reason we were voted one of the Top 10 Martial Arts schools in the Clev-Akron area 2 years in a row. Our classes cost HALF what commercial schools charge (we're in community facilities - no overhead). We teach relaxed, enjoyable classes where men, women, and teens look forward to training.
Welcome
Classes overseen by Master Tetsuya Higuchi, 8th Degree, formerly Capt. Higuchi of the Tōkyō Police. After 27 years, he retired as the senior martial arts instructor. Master Higuchi became highly skilled in Taihojutsu (Japanese Art of Arresting), Jūjitsu, Jūdō, Kendō, and Iaidō (Classical Japanese Sword).
